About Our Newsletters
We've named our newsletter the Mortarboard. Its purpose is to help bind the history of this community together - in the same way mortar binds brick. Hopefully this explains the rather strange name.
A limited number of copies of each issue are printed for free distribution through various venues around the local community. Each published issue will be reformatted into a printable PDF file and posted on the society's website. And, whenever enough issues have been produced, a consecutive series will be bound into booklets called the "Collected Newsletters" - volume 1, 2, 3, and so on - and made available for a small donation.
To view the newsletters, search the menu for the issue number you are interested in. Once you've opened the page, you'll see a link to a PDF.
Our other publication, the "Reports to the Clayton/Deer Park Historical Society" will continue to be published, but will be used primarily for longer and less time-sensitive articles.
Comments or corrections are always welcome. Inquires regarding articles or other material intended for inclusion in either the ‘Mortarboard' or ‘Reports' should be directed to the Editor of Print Publications. The editor can be contacted by opening the email link below.
