Life, love and the pursuit of happiness of a Clayton, WA. Home town boy.

Evelyn King Cox and her Nephew Eddie.

The day no one ever forgets. The very first day of school.

Eddie Kingrey astride old Jeff, formerly the favorite riding horse of none other than your Webmaster, Robert A. Clouse. We discovered this fact a mere 60 years later.

Eddie had family all around Clayton. Here Eddie and his Grandmother celebrate each others birthdays at Aunt Evelyn's in Clayton.

While Eddie spread his wings, His Uncles, the King boys were spread out around the globe fighting to keep us free. Here is Glen King getting some R & R during the Battle of the Pacific.

Eddie's on the wagon.

Ed with Mother Arlene and family.

When Edward Kingrey graduated from Deer Park High he joined the service to see the world. What better view than the top of the world, the land of the midnight sun. When off radar duty he did enjoyed Mother Nature and put to good use the fishing skills he learned at Beaver Creek on Beaver Brook Farm only a half mile from his Home town of Clayton, Washington.

Following the years in the military Ed put his radar skills to good use at air traffic control in Saudi Arabia. On off days he toured the local country side.

Eddie made a lot of new friends in Saudi and was very handy with the camera.

A view of the Battle grounds of the Pacific.

Just a boy and his dog. They grew up together that way.

Take a close look at the faces of our boys as they received the victorious news. When the bloody Battle ceased and our adversaries surrendered, joy was the order of the day. These fighting men were coming home. They made it.

The joy of Victory is sweet and the huge majority of our men and Women including Miles King third from right along with all his Bomber crew mates returned home to lead productive happy lives, all the King boys as well. God Blessed them really well.

When Eddie Kingrey had concluded his service in the Military and Law enforcement, this is where they settled down. From the Pacific Ocean to large cities to tiny towns sprinkled in one of the most scenic regions of our wonderful country. Talk about falling in and coming out smelling like a rose.

Edward finished his long air traffic control career at a young enough age to apply, be approved and then serve 22 years as a Clark County, Washington Deputy Sheriff.

What are the odds that a lad from the little town of Clayton, Washington, would meet and marry a lady from Tokyo, Japan, whose employer sent her to the United States to further her education? The lady decided to remain and somehow these two met and married. They now are enjoying each other in retirement.

Here is Eddie in front of his patrol car content with a highly responsible job to perform. His 22 years career as a law officer is exceedingly remarkable.

I'll drink to that, bottoms up!

Deputy Edward Kingrey, far left ,and his fellow Clark County, Washington Deputy Sheriff's. One can only wonder where these happy go lucky smilling faces are when they pull you over.

Eddie and Mari snapped a photo the morning Oct. 24th 2009. Worthy of replacing one from his Air Control days. This is a reflection of today and memories are made of this.

Edward working at the 270th Combat Air Traffic Control Squadron tower when he was deployed to Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah in 1997, supporting U.S. Airforce exercises.

A rare smile from Deputy Sheriff Walter King Jr.

Tucked away at the base of a mountain. Seclusion is standard fare for Claytonites.

Lady Mari Kingrey and Lady Mary Clouse. New friends like these two don't often happen but this time it did.

Eddie and a friend rubbing noses with the Honorable Senator Henry M. Jackson.

They get to celebrate when they pass Muster and once again when you have served 22 years.

A brief of Senator Jacksons Political history. He served in the days when the Senate worked full time running the country. Not full time running for office.

Service metals earned during Eds time in the service to his Country.

This is a man that the town of Clayton and his many friends and relatives can be proud of. Mr. Edward (King) Kingrey. Retired.
