Neat is the operative word for the Owen Lee Parker place. Straight as a string. Just check the fence.

Haying was always an edgy time. And as usual with farming it depended on the weather. Hay must be dry so between rains there was no rest.

This is the Ben Ottmar farm in the Davenport WA. area. His son Dennis and his little brother are doing their level best to tamp down the hay and supervise hooking the slings to the carrier. Like it or not, they were learning lessons for the days ahead.

A timely shot as the sling load disapears into the mow. Easily pulled by the Ottmar 22 Gas powered Cat.

This giant barn stood on Harry Getman place. It deteriorated with age when the family moved onand it wasn't used. It has since been destroyed.

Consultation is in order to identify the owner of this well maintained barn. It is located west of Fan Lake, east of Division Road. Nice going folks.

Nothing is slicker than a sleigh ride in the snow with Anni Nilsson and Bill Sebright enjoying a cold moonlight night on this inviting slope. A bon fire at the crest of the hill. Hot dogs and a marshmellow roast. Oh the joy of youth.

This barn sits just a wee bit north of Deer Park, WA. It seems just a few week ends by the local community would be in order. It's a treasure.

This stately farm was the home of the Nilsson family which included none other then Anni Nilsson, an exceptional young lady that caught the eye of none other than Bill Sebright. He courted her and married her. If you want to hear the rest of the story, please scroll up a few pages to "A STAR IS BORN." You will see why they are living happily ever after.

Built long ago but blessed with land lords that care. Brand new roofs on all the outbuildings will prolong the life of a building for decades.

This is from one of the barns on L and R Farm owned by Ron Messerschmidt and Larry Harris. We don't know what the '95 date means. It would seem the barn is well over 100 years old. The farm was once owned by the Ole T. Westby family.

Charolais or Shorthorn, who knows but this farm lies northwest of Deer Park close to Short Road or Spotted Road. Nice comfortable spread.

Log Barn on Sherman Rd. Deer Park Wa.

Finch Woodard Barn at Crawford & Dalton Rd.

Barn at Enoch Rd & Wallbridge Rd.

It is said that this is a stage coach barn on North Cleveland Rd. 2/3 of a mile west of the first Deer Park Cemetery.

Secluded in the serenity of the evergreens. One can hope this pleasent scene will never change.

On the Homestead of Ole T. and Helena Westby still stands their barn, built before 1895. Here's a perfect view from the camera of Peter Coffin, along with Ron Messerschmidt and his guest Bill Sebright. The board with the '95 date and ititials above and to left are in this barn.

The Owen's Barn. Deer Park WA.

Owen's Barn # 2. Also Deer Park, WA.

Mr. & Mrs. Fritz Schleman raised their three young ones on this farm. There was Darlene, Darris, and Violet.
