In 1989 the Deer Park School District decided to sell the original High School building after construction of the new High School on south Colville Avenue.  During the renovation the new owner disposed of the graduating class photographs that had hung on the walls of the old High School and dumped them in a heap behind the building.

Jack and Ellen Lewis found out about this and took immediate action. They recovered and restored them to original condition and donated all of the photographs to the City of Deer Park. Now they are displayed for all to see in the Council room at the Deer Park City Hall.

CDPHS dedicates this photo album of photographs of the Deer Park High School graduates of 1913 - 1958 with our deepest graditude to this wonderful couple.

Comemerative plaque honoring Jack and Ellen Lewis for rescuing these historical pictures.
