From time to time we receive requests from a person searching for just a bit of information concerning someone from the past. With the help of Society associates and a search through records that President Bill Sebright has access to, there is always a strong possibility of a happy conclusion. Such was the case involving this one little picture salvaged from the archives from decades ago.

In 1999 the Deer Park High School class of 1949 gathered for their 50th and had their picture taken. Now the class is looking forward to our 60th in 2009. We have lost exactly half of our class. They will be remembered as we show our gratitude for 78 golden years.

This is the 1947 agriculture and shop class taught by Mr. H.S. Limbert. This was the year the shop was moved out of the lower level of the high school and into this brand new shop and agriculture class building. The shop was equipped with both metal and woodworking equipment. The new oversized classroom also served as the Deer Park Chapter of the Future Farmers of America headquarters. It is speculated that Mr. Limbert had a hand in the design from start to finish.
