The Society's Copyright Policy
The Clayton/Deer Park Historical Society (Box 293, Clayton, Washington, 99110) reserves all rights to all the material it has created — however — each of these stories may be downloaded in its entirety for private, educational, and non-commercial purposes as long as the authorship and copyright ownership of the material is indicated, and as long as no profit or other material gain is realized by said reproduction. Quotes of reasonable length (300 words or less per article) may be taken from any single article for inclusion in other non-profit material as long as authorship, ownership, and the source of the quoted material is indicated.
Our intent by this ‘blanket permission’ is to allow family members of the individuals whose stories are told here to have continuing access to their family history; to allow the larger Clayton/Deer Park community complete access to its own history; and to promote the gathering and free sharing of such local history with the understanding that it is the common property of all residents, past, present, and future.
Articles or photos displayed on this website by permission of individuals, families, or organizations other than the Clayton/Deer Park Historical Society will require specific permission from those individuals, organizations, or families before they can be reproduced.
Inquiries regarding permission to reprint or quote by individuals or organizations when such reprints or quotes could or should reasonably be interpreted as outside the limits outlined in the above statement must be forwarded to the Board of Directors of the Clayton/Deer Park Historical Society at the address indicated in paragraph one.
